"Great place to purchase unconventional hair products, I frequent here for the pomade/bees wax. The owner is very pleasant and knowledgeable."
"My daughters stylist asked us to grab some extra hair for her appointment. The hours are listed as open until 6pm. We arrived at 5pm due to other events that day. We opened the door and my daughter was rather rudely told “we’re closed”. The individual did not ask if there was something they could quickly help with as they were closing early. Nothing. As my daughter’s appointment was early the next day this left us little options. I’m very disappointed by my very short interaction with this establishment."
"ABSOLUTELY NEVER RECOMMEND!!! I called the previous day asking about the earliest time I could get passion twists. The stylists said the next day would work as they were closing soon that same day I called to schedule. Her and I agreed on 11am. On the filling day. I get there at 11am and 2 hours later my stylist shows up. I had to be somewhere else. So I felt this was very inconsiderate. Stylist then made an excuse as to why she showing up 2 hours after my appointment time. Then, tried to manipulate my thinking by saying it was my fault that she did not show up at 11am for my appointment. Apparently no other stylist there knew how to do passion twists. So at first I decided I would just leave. But one of them does braids. I settled for the braids over the passions twists. I was given a price of $180 on the phone for twists, they tried charging me $300 at first for braids. So, I said never mind and started walking away until they dropped it to $200…which is still over priced and did not include braiding her. I don’t complain much, but I sure had to while my hair was being braided. Yes she was fast, but the constant pulling on my hair and she brushed my hair so rough I asked her to take it easy. This seemed to upset her for some reason. Very inconsistent and untrustworthy."
"This is a great place where I got a weave installed. Nice people, and a quick braided but as I had walked in the other trained employee left so whenever a customer came in, my stylist has to leave and help with counter which left me with a solid extra hour and a half of sitting there. As well as the front came up within 2 days. Overall awesome place, will hopefully return. Just would like my weave to stay if I’m paying $."
"If half a star was an option that’s what I would give. Sara is an excellent braider, I’ll give her that but she can’t dip hair AT ALL! And we all know that finishing a set of braids will make or break the style. Mariama was even less helpful, blaming the hair company and then telling me it’s because I left too much out. I’m not a fan of the customer is always right but in this case, the customer is always right! If a customer shows you a style and you confirm you can do it and confirm you know you have the hair for it, you are accountable. Wish I didn’t pay her full price. Won’t be going back. Black women if you care about your hairstyles with extensions, avoid this place! These photos are just hours after leaving the shop."
