I have been coming here for over 3 years now and I can't say enough about Shelley and her expertise!!! When I moved here I asked many of my friends and neighbors for salon suggestions, and Hair Gossip was their top pick!!! I am extremely happy with the services these two offer!!!"

"If you are in town and want to be pampered, avoid this place at all costs. I made an appointment for a simple service: wash, blow dry, style (which was just to straighten my hair). I was greeted by a man named Jamie (I think?). He proceeded to ask me what I wanted done while pulling his fingers through my curly hair (if you have curly hair, you know this is painful!). After the wash, he asked around to his colleagues for a hair straightener to which one of them said, “you know you can’t straighten her hair wet?!” Jamie then responded with the fact that he knows this, but doesn’t know how to turn the straightener on. Jamie then stated, “You’re going to leave this salon looking like me!” (He was bald). He then laughed along with the other women who were working there that were laughing because I appeared “nervous.” Throughout the blow dry, Jamie used excessive force to the point where my head was in pain from the pulling at my hair. After the blow dry, he then asked me, “Do you want any products in your hair?” (Heat protectant was never used) I said no, simply because he would have no idea what to use anyway. On to the straightening part that took all of 5-10 minutes because it was half done. I left the salon with frizzy, half straightened hair. I had to go back to my hotel and redo my entire head, which included re-straightening my hair because it was still wavy/curly throughout the majority of my head. I of course should have spoken up, but I was so appalled by the lack of knowledge, professionalism, and service that I needed to get out as quickly as possible. Please re-think this place if you want to leave looking half decent!"
