"April 2021 I decided to build a two compartment composter to handle yard clippings and compostable things from the kitchen. I went to a local lumber yard and the cost of the standard size lumber was more than $300 so I declined and they kindly suggest that I consider locally available rough cut lumber and gave me the number for Woods Lumber. I learned a couple things about rough cut lumber: you need some tough gloves because it's full of tiny but very annoying splinters; and you need to adjust plans for minor changes in dimensions. Eric, at Woods Lumber was easy to deal with. He's a bit hard to get ahold of because he's usually out at his saw cutting trees but for my project this was a perfect match. Instead of the $300+ from the lumber yard it was $110 for the rough cut wood plus $25 for a trailer rental which I got from Ace Hardware in Yarmouth. I've posted a few pictures of the yard and my finished project."
