"My experience with Closets by Design has been nothing short of a disappointment. I engaged their services with the expectation of receiving a custom-designed closet that would meet my specific needs and preferences. Unfortunately, what I received was a far cry from what was promised during the sales process. First and foremost, the quality of the product is subpar. The materials used in the construction of my closet were cheap and flimsy, not at all reflective of the durability that should come with a custom storage solution. The finish was sloppy, with visible imperfections that left me questioning the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the team. What's most frustrating is the blatant disregard for customization. Despite providing detailed specifications and preferences during the design phase, it became evident that Closets by Design did what they wanted, not what I had requested. The end result was a closet that seemed like a generic, one-size-fits-all solution rather than the bespoke creation I had envisioned. The communication throughout the process was abysmal. Requests for updates or clarifications on the design were met with delays and evasive responses. It became clear that once the sale was made, customer satisfaction was no longer a priority for them. Furthermore, the installation process was riddled with issues. The team seemed rushed and disorganized, leaving behind a mess in my home. It was evident that the installation was hurried, further compromising the already questionable quality of the product. In conclusion, if you are seeking a truly custom and high-quality closet solution, I strongly advise against choosing Closets by Design. The product they delivered was a far cry from what was promised, and the lack of attention to detail and customer preferences is inexcusable. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a company that takes pride in delivering a truly customized and well-crafted product."

"After three drawn out days of installation (because the installer didn't have the correct parts, and the design was so bad the installer had to make changes on the fly) we are left with two closets that we could have done better ourselves with Home Depot or IKEA. We were conned into a "beautiful" row of hooks that would complete the look and blend perfectly with the built-in closets (see pic). I had them remove them for a refund which I have not received. The "designer" ended up giving us two sections of a walk-in closet that look like they don't go together. The storage shelves in the corner are hard to reach and there is open dead space between the two sides. We weren't given any corner unit to tie it all together for a built-in look. This was for BOTH of our closets. When I called them on this they all passed the buck, blaming their designer, but not taking ownership as a company. They wanted to charge me an additional $600 plus to make it the way it should have been in the first place. When I pushed back and said they should be covering that cost, I never heard back from them. There is zero accountability in this company, their product is cheap-even with upgrades, their designers are independent contractors with no ties to the company and the install is shoddy at best. Not only would I avoid this company because of their product, I would avoid them because their customer service is virtually non-existent. Phone calls get passed around to different departments and eventually you are left texting with someone who does not care."

"Michele was meticulous in designing my closet and the install was perfect. What a difference a well organized closet makes! The materials are attractive and well made. Definitely recommend!"

"From the design process to the installation, everything was better than expected. My designer spent all the time that I needed to design the closet to my specifications. The two gentleman that installed the closet were professional, respectful, and kind. The closet looked perfect. I could not have been happier with this whole experience. I even contacted the company and told them that the installers deserve a raise and were the best I’ve ever seen."

"Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the quality of workmanship on this design. I have used Closets by Design for other projects and was very pleased with the final product. This time was very different. This is supposed to be "custom" cabinetry, but it shows as big box with DIY fixes added in. What's the point of taking measurements and then needing TWO filler pieces to make it fit into the space? And shouldn't it be common sense to make sure the door to the closet opens fully without smashing into the side of the shelves? Not to mention I was repeatedly told to remove all the baseboards, which I did, only to have the vertical structure pieces arrive cut to fit OVER baseboards. Thankfully the install crew was able to cover the exposed openings, but AGAIN, another FIX that shouldn't have been needed. This was a very expensive disappointment! I won't be using this company again...."
