"Great beach. Very crowded, even on weekday. Beautiful views. Limited on site parking with fee to park. Can park at Salt Pond visitor center and take free shuttle. Can bike or hike in for free. Restrooms available. Need to bring everything else."
"Beautiful beach to be at. If you are fan if long walks across the beach, then this one is very good beach."
"Voted one of America’s top 10 beaches! Natural, National Seashore beach with a beautiful long stretch of sand, dunes, and refreshing cool water. A couple of caveats: 1. There is no parking right at the beach unless you are handicapped or are a resident. There is a pay parking lot about 1/2 mile away with a shuttle that will take you to the beach entrance. 2. The entrance to the beach has moved and is further away from the bath facilities. 3. There are no snack bars or other facilities besides bathrooms. Bring your lunch and drinks! 4. No alcohol allowed on beaches, but in all my years I’ve never seen it enforced 5. Seals abound in these waters in the summer, and while it is great to watch them, they attract sharks which are constantly pinging buoys and sometimes get close to shore. Lifeguards will close the beach to swimming — but you don’t have to leave the beach — if sharks are spotted close by. Don’t swim near seals, avoid areas where there are a lot of birds gathered over water, don’t swim out too deep, and pay attention to the lifeguards. Download the “Osearch” app to see the sharks that have been located recently. No need to fear the sharks, just observe and use a little caution. Enjoy nature at its finest!"
