"Actually, there is a great dive-site that begins off the shore of the park, we call it a Doggy Park (or Peirce Island) dive site. It has an incredible marine life, especially in a winter season, when a beautiful member of the Mallusca family - Flabellina verrilli - finds its way to the slopes of this location. I call it Verillifest!!! The dive must be scheduled in accordance with tides, otherwise, you may find yourself far away from the point of entrance. Hence, find a local dive shop or someone who knows this site well."
"Nice place to come and walk the dog off-leash. The place is an Island and the dog can't really leave the area, except by the one way in, the bridge. There is a nice path that goes around the Island and there are many friendly people with their dogs as well. We met nice people who taught us about the site' history. Also a good place to grab a pik-nik with your family Thanks Portsmouth, you have lovely parks. We'll be back."
