Hidden Hollow Farm

"Our granddaughter had her birthday party here on Sunday. What a wonderful experience for all the kids! The Birthday girl had 2 rides and got to decorate and comb the ponies hair. After all the kids got their long rides and had their cake, they dug for toys in the hay pile (toys provided by my daughter). A very positive experience for all the kids and I think all the grownups enjoyed it too!"

"I don't review often but this is well deserved. Denise has a quiet laid back farm environment that encourages even the youngest of riders. While traveling I found this farm and wanted to take some lessons to keep in shape for my own horse in Florida. Denise is a pleasure to ride with and learn from. I have taken 2 lessons and have been very happy with each of these experiences. Today I got to talk to some of her camp kids and it was obvious her farm strives to encourage the love of horses for our future riders. They sat ringside while I rode in my lesson and their counselor took the opportunity to use it as an unmounted lesson on position, use of leg and hand aids among other things as Denise was instructing me This can help build a rider by not only telling them what to do but also offering a visual. I would easily recommend this farm to other in this area to explore their interest in riding."

"This was a fun activity. Loved that we got to brush the horses before the ride and get to know them a bit. A short lesson in the ring was given and then we headed out for a trail ride. The trail was beautiful but a bit short and treacherous and the owner held on to my horse most of the ride which made it feel a bit like a pony ride. Overall, glad I went but would probably try to find a better trail in the future."

"I came to Hidden Hollow Farm knowing little to nothing about horses and have since forged a bond so strong with the horses and Owner, Denise that it's become my favorite place to escape to from my busy life! With Denise's extensive knowledge and training, I've learned to properly approach the horses, groom and tack them prior to riding, and gain the confidence to walk, trot, and even canter! My ground work with the horses prior to riding is my favorite part of the lesson. It's a chance for me and my horse to gain trust with one another before we hit the arena or the riding trails. I have come a long way in my training and owe it all to Denise and her very patient, well trained horses. Denise is firm and clear in her instructions and I know that is to keep me and my horse safe. Not every lesson or trail ride is beautiful, horseback riding is hard work and I've come to appreciate that. I highly recommend Hidden Hollow Farm for riding lessons and trail riding! Everyone on the farm that I've met is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and we have a blast!!!"
