"My girls have been dancing at South Shore Dance Academy for five years now. When originally looking for a studio for them we were hoping for something fun to introduce them to. SSDA has exceeded all of our expectations. The girls began dance and formed fast friendships with their peers and also with Sara. Sara is an extremely talented dancer and amazing instructor. She is kind, patient, professional, and adjusts her teaching style and technique to all dancing levels. SSDA offers a variety of dance programs ranging from different ballet levels, tap/jazz, point, and hip hop. There is a class for everyone! Through these five years, we have seen our girls increasingly gain confidence, poise, and learn the value of teamwork. South Shore Dance Academy also offers a program to give back to the local community. Sara created a community service dance team that performs for nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, and also at town events during the holiday season. This program has really taught all the kids the value of giving back to the community in a selfless way. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Sara found ways to continue to keep the kids connected, offering multiple dance lessons through zoom. As soon as it was safe for the kids to go back to the studio, she went above and beyond to provide safety for the kids with a seamless process that meets every single guideline. Five years ago we thought we were simply signing the girls up for dance lessons but what we go in return is so much more. I highly recommend South Shore Dance Academy to anyone who is looking to provide quality dance lessons for their children. "We have been coming to SSDA since 2016 when my oldest daughter was about a year and a half. We started off in Mommy & Me dance class and now my daughter is 5 and in pre-dance. Miss Sara is a wonderful teacher & is the reason we have come back year after year. She has a special way with children, both younger and older, and my daughter absolutely adores her. This year has not been an easy one, but Miss Sara kept up weekly lessons via Zoom and changed the studio around for the safety of everyone once students were able to return. Although this year's recital was a bit different, Miss Sara still made it a special day for all the dancers and their families. My oldest can't wait for lessons to start up again in September and we are happy to support Miss Sara and SSDA for many years to come."
