"UPDATE : It has been more than two years since I left the first review and my feelings on The Dojo have only grown stronger and more positive. My son is now closing in on his Black Belt and we could not be happier to have taken this journey with Steve and Janine. Even through the struggles of the pandemic, solutions and options were always available for training and advancement. Now as things return to normal The Dojo has only grown more popular and new students seem to be arriving every week. There are many options out there to pursue the study of Martial Arts, but you will not find a better option or more personable and friendly core of instructors anywhere else. "My oldest son began karate instruction at The Dojo 4 years ago, as a 6 year old. He immediately took to Steve's teaching style--a great blend of fun and fundamentals. He has continued to be inspired to work hard, practice at home and legitimately learned what he needed to know to earn his black belt at 10! Steve has instilled a lifelong interest in karate in him. My two younger children are now on board as well and classes at the Dojo and practice at home are part of family life.
