"Great place to find something new to read, named after the iconic street in Notting Hill, London. The selection is well curated (sorry to use such an overused word). I bought two books, and found another 15 or so that I would like to read one day. Nice quotes written on the walls and horizontal pieces of the shelves. I could have browsed all day."
"I went here with a friend, its a little gem!! so many cute gifts and cool books and cards."
"Such a great find. I think the most unique store in Edgartown. Really unique trinkets. Awesome books! Something for everyone. Highly recommend."
"Really enjoyed this store full of art, books, both new and vintage, and gifts. The store has a wonderfully curated selection of items. I could have spent hours in here."
"I own a specialty store with 35 employees and a 32,000 square foot building. Portobello Road is my favorite store in the world. I visit every time I am on the island. It begins with the music being played in the store. Not radio, or random songs, but really good music with a great deal of thought behind every song. And thought behind the selection of books, signs, toys, gifts, art, music. The actual selection is not the point. They are not connected by a subject or a category. They are connected by a point of view. I can feel the thought behind every decision to place every item on the shelf. And it all works with the feeling behind the layout, and,,, the music! Browse through this store, and you will enjoy seeing things you don't see anywhere else. You will enjoy the experience. And what more do you want from a vacation store than a supremely enjoyable visit?"
