"Environmentally friendly home goods store. Everything looks comfortable and beautiful."
"I wouldn’t recommend purchasing from here. I purchased a table in April 2021. It’s currently September 2022 and after 6 failed delivery attempts I am still sitting on a table from Pottery Barn with multiple manufacturers defects. After almost a year and a half of waiting on a table with new defects, PB told me I can either accept a small partial refund or return the table. Very disappointing!! The store encouraged me to purchase from them instead of online, promising to help with any customer service issues. The only help I’ve received has been from Pottery Barns online customer service. The company they outsource delivery to is also extremely unreliable."
"I want to qualify. This is not about the Cranston RI store, per se. It relates exclusively to the post ordering component in the hands of the delivery team and logistics. The store personnel were excellent. Everything else in this review relates to the quality of the craftsmanship and the delivery. An absolutely horrendous experience. I ordered furniture way back on 12/13/2021. I ordered a Pearce Square Arm Sofa for $2899 and the Buchanan Square Armchair for $1199 at that point. The furniture arrived and was really sub par. The armchair looked like someone had slept in it as to the upholstered job. It was wrinkled and didn't sit comfortably. It was super firm. The sofa was distinctly uncomfortable also. I contacted the logistics team in Boston and they had the two pieces of furniture removed after 3 months of waiting for them. I placed a new order a few days later with an excellent sales associate in the Cranston RI store. I re ordered a Big Sur sofa and an Aidan swivel rocker. The sofa finally after a delay of about 3 months arrived with a defect absolutely visible on the arm as well as a blue pinpoint notable discoloration on one of seat cushions. The chair is still pending. Apart from the horrendous quality of the manufacturing, the complete absence of any quality control prior to shipment of the piece, the waiting on hold x 55 minutes at a stretch to speak to someone at the delivery level is a complete abuse of the customer. Potentially I have another room to furnish to the tune of $10,000 with a sofa, some easy chairs, a few lamps and a coffee table and it won't be from Pottery Barn. This company has beautiful inventory and absolutely horrendous service to the customer. It is profane as well as abusive. It is now August and I still don't have a furnished home thanks to Pottery Barn's shabby craftsmanship. Full stop. And in terms of ever ordering furniture again from Pottery Barn? I'd rather put pins in my eyes. Just saying."
"We walked in and planned on spending good money to redo our master bedroom. We were there for over 20 minutes and on our way out while the employee was on her phone she asked us if we needed assistance. More so because we were in the same vicinity and she didnt really have much choice. Additionally, keep in mind about 10 minutes prior, the employee already made eye contact with us and then proceeded the other way. Not sure if it was our casual attire or the color of our skin but either way the customer service was less than acceptable."
"Wife and I walked in ready to spend! Ladies behind the counter looked us up and down and then kept talking to each other. NO ONE else was in the store and they never once asked if we needed help. I actually had to say hello to them for them to even acknowledge us. Just cause we are wearing sweats doesn’t mean we can’t afford to buy things from you!"
