"My wife and I purchased a nice dresser from here back in June for our soon to be born new baby. It came smelling like smoke but they insisted that with white vinegar in the drawers the smell would go away. I always try to shop locally and support local businesses when I can so I trusted this business thinking they knew more than I did about furniture and wouldn't lie to me just to sell something they couldn't sell. Three months later after trying everything I could to unsuccessfully remove the smell I called the business seeking advice on what else I might be able to do. Since they had no other advice they offered to exchange it for a different dresser and pay me the difference since the dresser was smaller and less expensive. I really appreciated the offer and accepted since our new baby boy is on the way in just 4 weeks and we don't have many more options. After letting her know I would accept it she changed her mind and offered me store credit because there is a no return policy and I've already had the furniture for three months. She completely changed her mind and took this opportunity to make more money off my wife and I since she knew we didn't have any other options. I'm completely disappointed and upset but this encounter and I wouldn't recommend doing business here ever. There are plenty of other local businesses who do right by their customers that would love the support from the community."

"I'm incredibly unhappy with this store. The owners are heartless and do not care about helping customers find good pieces for their home. They only care about making money. My brother was sold a dresser that had residual cigarette smoke throughout the entire piece. This piece was put in a nursery for a newborn baby. He was guaranteed that using the strategies they were implementing in the store would remove the smell. It did not after months of trying to clean it out. He requested to exchange the piece for another that would be safe for his newborn child. After initially agreeing to this arrangement, the owner went back on their word. Now he is left with a dresser that is unsafe for his child, out the money that the piece cost, and out any additional expenses to replace this furniture. Please do not support this business."

"We love Belmont Consignment Furniture! The owners Chloe and Donata are super nice and have have great taste. It's a small tucked away shop, but almost everything in there is interesting, and there's frequently new and fun items. My only complaint is that my place isn't big enough for more furniture!"
