MASAC at Plymouth

"My father is here. He has cancer and while he needs help for his alcoholism (he was sectioned) he is being treated like a criminal. We were told he would have his meds, they would take care of his treatments, etc. the guards don’t care. Told him to F off, have refused his meds and his flares from his cancer are worse than ever. He met with one counselor who told him he was in the wrong place. Guards are strung out and provide others inside with their fix, meanwhile my father can’t get his necessary meds. We acknowledge he needs actual detox and help but this is not the answer. He is not in prison, although you’d never be able to tell."

"That place is not a good place to work, the Nurses are lazy and want the CNA’s to do there job while they get paid good, they write people up for the smallest thing, not a good place at all it’s like a Jail.."

"The place is terrible!!! I almost died their!!! Took me off my prescription medication I have been on for 20 years ended up after 5 days rushed to hospital from withdrawals!! They don’t care!! More like a prison!! You complain they put you in the hole!!! They only care about the states money!! They get 2,000 a day per individual!! Nobody knows what their doing their!! Very sad!! Shut it down!!!!"

"To anyone watching this. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. I JUST LEFT. The place is a complete mess. Fights are condoned and the environment is unhealthy. I've seen atrocities done to civilians with no intervention by staff. Any staff telling you different on the phone is lying to you. Counselors keep quitting for a reason. "I sectioned my husband yesterday. Then I read the reviews and I was so worried about him. According to the reviews this place is horrible. Then I called the facility and I talked to Savanna Richard . She’s awesome. She answered my every question in details. She explained to me everything that I was worried about. She told me that facility is no longer is under correction officers. Since last year may everything changed over there. Everyone have their own room. They have routine to follow. If you attend all the meetings and counseling you will be out of there within 30 days . I am really thankful of Savanna Richard the way she spoke to me that cleared my all stress and worries about my husband. Thank you so much Savanna Richard ."
