"I received a T-shirt from Campus Collection as a gift that was purchased yesterday. When I went to try it on, the shirt had a 3" rip down the seam. I went to exchange it at the store today, and a young girl was working who was new there. She didn't know how to work the computer well enough to handle the return so she had to call her boss. The boss would not take the shirt back because I did not have a receipt. Of course, I didn't because it was a gift! The tag was still on but the price was ripped off (because it was a gift!). The woman who owns the store would not allow the return even though the purchase was found in the computer. She said "We do not sell defective items. If it was ripped before it was sold, we never would have put it out because we would have noticed it." I'm sorry, but mistakes happen, lady! Someone did not notice the rip, probably because it was concealed well on the seam, and put it out for retail. I'm a PA faculty member and the owner of the store didn't believe me. After the girl was on the phone with the owner for 30 minutes, I had to leave and they were insistent about not letting me return the item at that moment. I have never had such terrible customer service. If one of your products is defective, it may have been a complete accident that it was put on the shelves, but at least have the decency to take it back in exchange for a non-defective item. I will not be going there again and I will be sure to tell my colleagues and students at PA that they are best going elsewhere."
