Progeria Research Foundation

The Progeria Research Foundation, located at 200 Lake Street in Peabody, Massachusetts, is a school and university dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for Progeria and its aging-related disorders, including heart disease. Progeria is an ultra-rare, fatal disease that causes rapid aging in children. Without the FDA-approved treatment lonafarnib, children with Progeria typically die of heart disease at an average age of 14.5 years. PRF is the only non-profit organization solely focused on finding treatments and a cure for Progeria, and has been making significant progress towards this goal. The institution aims to connect families impacted by Progeria, provide resources and support, and ultimately improve the lives of those affected by the disease. Through lonafarnib clinical trials and fundraising efforts, PRF has been able to extend the lives of children and young adults with Progeria.
