"I have been an Allstate customer for going on a decade now. Last year we relocated to Maine from Colorado and changed to Peter Deschamp so that we would have a local agent. In under a year our new house had a tree fall on the garage, flooding in the basement and black mold was found in the attic. The only claim that I actually filed was for the tree taking out the garage roof. The Deschamp agency was pretty unresponsive and it took months for us to get the roof replaced. They also fought with the roofers on cost and we finally ended up having to pay$2k out of pocket to just get it done. Then the basement flooded and we found the mold. I did not intend to file claims on these ,but reached out to the Deschamp agency to ask questions about our coverage. They were unwilling to give us the answer and instead had us contact the claims department. We did just that and after we asked the question they went and filed 2 claims, just so they could tell us that we were not covered for ground water flooding or the resulting mold. Then, about a month before our insurance was up for renewal they sent a letter saying that they were dropping our insurance because of too many claims! Don't waste your time with this allstate agency. There are plenty of other companies and agents willing to help and be responsive."

I called with a very minor issue that could have waited until my agent was back in office but Mr. DeSchamp took the time and did it himself right then and there even after my offering to wait. And the prices are unbeatable for home and auto!"
