"Still haven’t received my order but did just receive an unpleasant email saying they will grant me a student discount once (!?) I’m an online student! They don’t know when they’ll ship my order, I’ve called four times but no one picks up. I received my Blick order 2 days ago that I placed at the same time. Blick also offers discounts as do other art supply stores. Plus, RISD charged close to $20 for shipping and Blick’s shipping was free. Disappointing . . ."

"They have a lot of great art supplies and some cool gifts at this store. Most of the people that work here are really nice and helpful. It's too bad the Store Director has created such a toxic work environment. What a shame."

"It’s similar to the Blick store, except they have a smaller selection with more variety. I would even recommend the 3D works store as it has a similar aesthetic and is geared towards mixed media art. The 2D store has a gift shop attached, a cafe on the second floor managed by THE sweetest woman. And RISD merch designed by the school alumni. It’s definitely a student hotspot, but it’s welcoming to any kind of artist or creative. And the staff are very friendly so don’t be afraid to ask for help. As for the pricing, it’s comparable to Blick or Jerry Artarama, and can be discounted if you’re a student. Overall, great location, good staff and affordable prices."

"Easy to spend a lot there. The store has a lot of fun stuff. The staff are few and far between, but both employees I spoke to were friendly and wanted to help. I will happily return when I need more supplies."

"Though fairly small, this store has a well-chosen, intriguing selection of materials, as well as some charming and unusual gift items. The staff has been helpful and friendly. I enjoy going there. A discount is available if you are affiliated with RISD, or if you have a RISD Museum membership. That's mighty nice. I'll add that a special order was placed and received, and I felt well taken care of."
