Reviews of Artisans Asylum
"I love it, it's like heaven for creative people, really affordable and you have pretty much everything you need, I uset the laser cutting machines and it's perfect for me"
"I feel compelled to share my wonderful experiences at this facility. I took a Sunday tour a few weeks ago and was absolutely blown away by the tool/machinery offerings available. I registered for a course for CNC plasma cutting shortly after. The course was taught by Eden, who’s both highly knowledgeable as well as an exceptional teacher! I tend to ask lots of questions and she never made me feel bad about doing so. We learned how to use both the CNC cutter as well as handheld plasma cutting where Jess (??) walked us through the different ways you perform the cuts and then how to clean up the cuts and prevent rust. The course was fun, instructors were great and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Only thing to note is that you receive certification on the handheld plasma cutter by performing the course but to get certified on the CNC plasma cutter you need to return during a tool testing night which makes sense because you do the CNC cutter in groups so you could potentially not know everything and still manage to use it successfully during the class. Looking forward to taking another class in the near future!"
"Wonderful place to "get your art out!" There are people of all skill levels learning, sharing, working on projects. I stopped by a glass artist who was working on a project and happy to explain what he was doing. He was so enthusiastic about his project that I couldn't help but get excited about it too! They have classes, workspaces to rent, and storage spaces to rent to keep your projects and supplies. Everything from traditional painting and drawing and screen printing to welding, woodworking and electronics... there's a class, workspace, tools and support so you can learn, practice, and grow. Check out their website to see what they have available!"
"Took a free tour and was hooked the moment I walked in. Amazing to see the abundance of tools and equipment. Great group of people who are willing to share their knowledge. Have already learned how to use a lathe to make bowls and pens. Now I am learning welding to make legs for a table they am currently creating. What a great space and good people. A bit pricey, but I'm worth it."
"Simply the best community maker space in Boston. Smart, well-equipped, afforadable, welcoming at all levels."
