"We had a child enrolled in the after school program who continued to be physically assaulted by another child. They do not care about children's or parents' rights. Read their handbook- they do not even follow their own procedures for giving children time away from volatile situations because they admit they are understaffed. This happened at the YMCA Rockport Program and other parents have complained and withdrawn their children. Do not send your kids there. When I exploded on staff because my son was hit AGAIN, they banned me from picking up or even communicating with the YMCA. It used to be a good program when Brian Flynn was around - not anymore. Tim Flaherty, Andrew Fontini and Amanda Tower run an awful program. If you think this is just a rant, call the Dept. of Early Education and Care and ask. They were cited on numerous noncompliance violations including understaffed for their licensing, no current CPR certifications for staff, numerous occasions where staff failed to report injuries to children and incident reports without parental signature, meaning parents may not have been notified if their child was involved in an incident."
