"I made the decision to start learning to play guitar at the age of 50 and had so much doubt due to feeling like I just couldn't understand music for most of my life. I knew the right teacher would be a crucial component and so I did my research. I contacted Chris because I loved his technical skill, the style of music he seemed to enjoy, and quite honestly his location. Chris is a true professional who has honed his skills both as a player and more importantly as a teacher. I have shown up early to lessons and listened to him easily discuss complex musical theory with veteran players, encouraged young talents to be more creative, and relieved many student's fears about their abilities. Multiple friends of mine have taken lessons with "famous guitar teachers" yet have complained that their teacher seems to just be waiting for the lesson to be over or they feel like they are wasting the teacher's time.
