"I have been an artist all my life. However sometimes life takes a turn and our attention and focus is needed elsewhere. Now is my time… Slow River has supported me in this journey. The instructions are supportive and inspiring. The people that teach as well as the people who gather to learn are amazing! The classes encompass many variations of art, and we are encouraged to explore. Everyone is at a different stage in their art, yet we all enjoy each other’s camaraderie. For me Slow River has entered my life at exactly the right time."

"I don’t have enough words to say how wonderful this studio is. Jess and her staff have created a nurturing, relaxing, supportive environment for those who wish to explore their artistic creativity. I took 5 classes in 2023 and look forward to doing an Abstract painting class at the beginning of January. Engaging with this community has given me a new lease on life and I literally “look” at the world a bit differently now. And don’t feel that you need artistic experience to join a class. I still cannot draw a straight line, but it doesn’t matter. The instructors will gently guide you through each course with patience and kindness and tap into skills that you didn’t even know you had.
