"I reached out to Arthur Murray Dance after getting engaged. I did not want our first dance to be the typical rotating circle like you see at a high school dance. I wanted something memorable. Having two left feet, I was nervous to take lessons but after discussing it with my fiance, we decided to go for it! We signed up for a package, got our first lesson scheduled and met our instructor Eva. She was very patient with us from the start and she constantly strived to make sure we were comfortable while learning new steps. Each class we would review what we learned the previous class and then learn a new step. Our engagement time flew, our wedding was approaching fast but by the time we had our final lesson, we were confident and ready for our wedding! Our wedding day came, it was time for our lessons to be put to the test and magically everything we learned just flowed naturally....we nailed it! "My wife and I starting coming here a year and a half ago (for the first FREE lesson) to learn to dance for our wedding. We started waaay before the wedding because I'd basically never danced in my life. The instructors are amazing and very flexible. We decided to build up some basic skills and then focus on our wedding dance, which turned out great. After the wedding, we decided to keep it up and go a couple times a week. We've improved a lot and the community at the studio is incredible. Everyone there wants everyone else to succeed. The cost per private lesson can be a sticker shock at first, but they include all the group lessons and practice sessions for free, so it's actually very reasonable if you take advantage of those! I never would have thought I'd enjoy dancing this much, but we look forward to going every week now."
