"I would like to say how impressed I am with this program. In the past two months my son has matured, learned responsibility, got his MA health insurance renewed and just got his GED. He has had a dental cleaning and a good medical physical, too. I just want to say thank you so much to the staff there for making this happen. I’m so happy that my tax dollars are going to such a great program. I wish we knew about this place earlier but what it’s done to my son in two months is unbelievable, I can’t wait until he completes the training part!"
"By far the worst experience I ever had at any type of school in my life"
"Beautiful center horrible staff nothing to do after training day theres absolutly no jobs or chances for minors to spread as an adult other than a recreation center and rarely any activities, no comminication between staff or students the food is good when they feel like it. Staff dont get to know students or care about anything els other than attendance and keeping theirs scores so they can look good and go home at the end of the day"
"Horrible joke of an organization. To compare the staff to dramatic gossiping high school girls would be an insult to high schoolers everywhere. Those who've worked there for any substantial amount of time have no interest in working and the new staff aren't properly trained on their jobs leaving a center where half of the workers can't help students and the other half refuse to. While attending over the summer the dorms were over 100°F and without any AC. Every promise made by the recruiters (who I later found out are not actually affiliated with the center) was false. There is a culture that promotes laziness and punishes those who wish to work hard all the while those in charge care more about image than actual quality of life on center."
"I graduated in 2006. Westover Job corps made a huge difference in my life at that time and I'm glad I joined and graduated from there. I would recommend joining to anyone who wants to learn a trade, graduate high school/GED and you can leave your current situation. They help you get on your feet before you leave, they house you, feed you and even give you a weekly allowance. The best part about it is that they give you money when you leave; if you graduate a trade also you can get more money depending on what else you decide to do there. You can get your drivers license, GED or HSD, and a trade certificate .So basically they pay for you to live there, feed you, school you and then give you money when you leave to have a fresh start. Where can you go wrong?"
