Reviews of BLS Visa Application Center - Spain and Germany
"BLS is an example of when outsourcing public tasks to private corporations can go very wrong, in my expirience BLS was awful and unprofessional. I'm asking the spanish gov to implore critical thinking and deductive reasoning and cancel their contract with BLS ASAP. EDIT: OMG, this office is so disorganized and so rude and inconsiderate of everyones time ON YOUR WEBSITE IT SAID I COULD BRING A courier envelope because like most students in BOSTON I don't live in Boston so I can't fly across the country to pick it up, so then you tell me oh my friend can come pick it up if I let you know their name, so I tell you their name and then you TELL me that I need a notarized letter to let her pick it up, a letter FROM WHO GIRL what, they didn't give me any details on what the notarized letter should be from and didn't let me know this in advance and know I might not have my visa in time thanks to the ridicoulsness of the office Bls deserves to go bankrupt Spain cancel your contract with them ASAP"
"Very unprofessional staff. You have to call many times sometimes no one knows what is goining on with your application or where it is. We had to reschedule the flight despite submitting all the paperwork early. We had a better experience obtaining visa Schengen when it was done directly by the embassy. What used to be a smooth process, now is becoming very stressful. Hopefully, embassies will take action to improve this."
"I was a bit worried going into this center today, given all the negative reviews, but I had an overall positive experience. I also think the negative reviews here mostly refer to the Spain side of the company, and the German side operately separately. Dylan, who was helping me through the process, was very professional and made the whole process pleasant and easy to follow. I had to wait an hour longer than scheduled because it took longer for them to get through the folks before me, but my process went by quite smoothly. Now, will be waiting for a few weeks for the visa to be processed by the embassy."
"My wife had an unfortunate and distressing experience dealing with BLS International Services Limited (BLS) in Boston when she applied for a visa to Spain. We had been planning to spend a few weeks on vacation in Valencia with my parents, and we were forced to cancel our trip to Spain. If you believe you have had an illegal or unethical experience with BLS, please search my name and reach out to me. We are currently considering the possibility of filing a lawsuit against BLS and the Consulate General of Spain in Boston. BLS staff not only exhibited a rude attitude toward my wife but also failed to provide the services they promised. They instructed and pressured her to purchase additional health insurance from their office, disregarding proof of her existing health insurance coverage. Despite their earlier assurances, she was later informed by the Consulate that BLS never sent them the documentation of the additional health insurance she purchased. As a result, the Consulate returned her visa application without any explanation, regrettably. We eventually discovered that, as a citizen of the Russian Federation, she was ineligible for the health insurance they sold her anyway. BLS repeatedly refused to clarify the situation and failed to respond to multiple email and phone inquiries she made, showing a complete disregard for customer service. Their failure to communicate with her and refusal to provide any clarification were deeply upsetting to us. We ultimately managed to get my wife's documents back from BLS. Unfortunately, though, despite her repeated requests for a refund for their failed services, BLS adamantly refused to return her visa fee, stating that it is the responsibility of the Consulate to process refunds. This lack of accountability on their part only further exacerbated her intense disappointment and frustration. We understand that numerous clients, as evident from highly negative online reviews, have expressed similar grievances with their services, citing unprofessional behavior from their staff. These unpleasant encounters have led to substantial financial losses for individuals not only in terms of visa fees but also with regard to reserved lodging, flight tickets, and excursions in Spain. The substandard services provided by BLS have had an adverse impact on our perception of Spain as a welcoming and accommodating destination for tourists and visitors."
"Horrible experience. Spain is not worth visiting if this is the process for a visa. Found out 3 weeks after submitting application that they sent in my passport with someone else’s application documents. Only found out because a new employee, Brett, saw that my application was sitting in their vault with no passport. If you have already applied and are having issues, I would try to speak to Brett. He is the only compassionate worker, surrounded by callousness. IF YOU HAVE NOT YET APPLIED, DON’T BOTHER. You will deal with ineptitude, carelessness and rudeness I have never witnessed before. I was told I would be able to get a refund as I never got my visa but have now been waiting over a week for a reply. As an Indian, I am used to jumping through hoops for a visa, but this experience has ensured that I will be avoiding BLS like a plague as the company is rotten top to bottom, and I will be advising my friends and family to avoid them too."
