"Nice little museum with a restored caboose for people to walk in. The museum is free but they accept donations. There is no AC so don't expect to get out if the heat here, but it's a nice little spot whether you're into trains or have a young one that likes them. There is also a playground across the street and a good fried seafood spot around the corner"
"This was a great place to take my kids. They loved the model trains and the usable examples of older ways of communication like morse code and rotary phones. There's a real caboose you can walk into and interact with. Mr. Hall was kind with the toddlers and very knowledgeable. There is also a nice park and jungle gym across the street to get out the zoomies."
"If you love trains and railroads, you're gonna want to stop here. A great spot filled to the brim with exhibits all about the history of trains on the Cape. The best part is the interactive component, which makes it super fun for kids and adults. They have a telegram machine, old signal phones, old ticket stampers, a train horn you can sound, and a caboose parked out back you can explore mad get a real feel for train loving. Amazing to consider how important trains were to the development of our country and how now they are so backseat."
"Museum is closed for the season until mid-June but you can still see some really cool-looking exhibits thorough the windows and climb on the vintage caboose behind the museum. Looks like it would be a great place to visit during the season when you can go inside!"
"Fantastic little museum with interesting trinkets and a well-informed curator. I've never used a telegraph before, so the interactive one they had to try was so cool. Also, they have a retired and restored caboose that you can get inside and tour. The video inside the caboose did a great job covering the history of the railroad and was well edited to be thorough, yet concise. Overall, this was a quaint short stop that captured the Chatham spirit."
