"Temple Shalom Nursery School (TSNS) is a wonderful preschool. My daughter was a student in all three classrooms (toddler through pre-K). I’ve had the opportunity to see how the different classrooms and curriculum build upon each other and allow the children to grow in so many ways. I have witnessed my daughter’s cognitive and social skills flourish, and her knowledge of both the secular and Jewish world deepen and expand, to the point where she is teaching me new Jewish cultures and traditions! The outdoor classroom sparks the children’s imaginations and allows them to explore nature all year long. I highly recommend TSNS!"

"TSNS has been a home away from home for my whole family. It's not just a great school but a great community. The director and staff go above and beyond the call of duty. They get the importance of child-directed play, they foster a love of nature with lots of outdoor time on an amazing playground and they bring elements of nature (like wagons of snow!) inside when it's too cold to stay outdoors, they are tuned in to what each individual child needs... the list goes on. There is Judaism worked into many of the activities and some of the routine but all children and families are welcome there. And there are lots of family activities too like parents' nights out, holiday gatherings or class play dates. You can't go wrong with this school."

"TSNS is an amazing preschool. When we began our preschool search, I had a picture in my mind of what it would look like. TSNS was nothing like what I pictured. I had never heard of a Certified Nature Explore school before. I quickly realized how priceless it was to have my kids spend so much of their day outside, exploring their world and cultivating curiosity. You will not find a “cookie cutter” approach to education here. The teachers are amazing, know the children so well and are able to assist them in learning by encouraging curiosity and exploration. Play is incorporated into everything they do and the kids quickly develop a joy of learning. My boys have loved it! As parents, the community has been priceless to us. The toddler/pre-k year’s are so tough...It’s nice to have wonderful people to go through it with. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and highly recommend TSNS."
