"Going to the dentist has never ranked high on my list of things to do but I'm a regular. Showing up every six months for a cleaning. Getting the x-rays and repair work when needed. In the past, I've had male dentists that didn't communicate well, tried to talk over me as if I were incapable of comprehending their illustrious field, or were just plain overbooked--shuffling me out of the chair for the next patient. Trusting someone to work on your mouth is a highly personal decision no one should take lightly. I've personally never had issues with the front desk personnel at this office, my interactions literally consisting of a two-second check-in and a good-bye when the work is done. However, I cannot say enough about the professionals working on my teeth. Yesterday, I had my ritual six month cleaning and realized I was actually *happy* to be in the chair. Then I realized I'm always happy when I'm in this office. Janine, my hygienist, is the best I've had, her work impeccable. I leave my appointment feeling respected, cared for and healthy. And my teeth are soooo happy. Dr. Albert is maybe the nicest dentist on the planet. Kind, unassuming and thoughtful, he has a natural way of mentoring patients toward an understanding of what's happening in their mouth. He explains future work that may need to be done, but has never tried to up-sell me on a procedure or rush through an exam. He respects my decision not to get x-rays if I'm not experiencing issues. In short, Janine and Dr. Albert are exceptional. In a field that is overcrowded with practitioners who have lost the art/desire/capability of putting patients first, this pair stands apart. See for yourself. Or maybe don't. Then I have a better chance of getting an appointment."

We could not ask for better dentists. The team of Dr. Davis and Dr. Albert is incredible! The office is staffed with diligent, patient and knowledgable dental assistants and the office staff has that special touch as well. I received a happy birthday text last week and it was such a nice welcome, but unexpected surprise. This team takes the extra steps to get it right! We have never been disappointed with the quality of product, professionalism, and just plain down home care. "Ive been a patient at Damariscotta Dental for 40+ years. It was forever a fantastic experience growing up and in my early adult years. Now however, things have started to slide downhill. The receptionists are rude and unprofessional and lack the understanding for the proper handling of patients information, billing, and handling modern healthcare plans. In addition, the cleaning I had lacked the thorough and comprehensive treatment I’ve had numerous times in the past. I would recommend a careful Vetting if your considering them. As a positive note, Dr. Davis is a fantastic dentist; each time he’s done work for me it’s been a hassle free experience."
