Reviews
"Hard to get someone on the phone, better to just drive there. The librarians like to laugh, sometimes at you. They don't communicate well, and have poor manners. It's frustrating."
"They have been fantastic during this pandemic! Window service books for kids! Just order online and then pick up. Safe and free!"
"Swampscott has a massive gemstone in its library. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. It's also perfectly quiet for getting some work done in one of its various rooms. I also enjoy the 'nooks' that are available to sit beside stately windows in various parts of the building. So thrilled to have this as my local portal to knowledge."
"Out of the Beverly, Burlington Malden, Medford, Stoneham, Everett, Lynn, and Saugus library to name a few; The Swampscott is my absolute favorite. Every librarian interaction was pleasant, it's cozy, quiet, people are respectful, the book selection is good. The biggest downside is that the selection and library itself is small. Even that isn't a huge issue because you can have books shipped to the library. This library is the bee's knees."
"They have a good selection of books on Russian, for kids as well as adults. At least one staff person speaks Russian, too, which is great for my grandma who can ask her questions directly!"
