"George is a great guy, and a kind soul. He has helped more people than not, when they bring stuff in he doesn't want or need. He still takes stuff to help people and keeps it for a long time before even thinking about getting rid of it. After reading some of the negative comments here, I'd say you'd have to be a real piece of work not to get along with him because he's one of the nicest people alive."
"George who owns/runs this place. Is one of the best men I have ever meet, An def one of the best people in this type of business. Yes his place is a cluttered. Why? Cause he does not sell items he took in on hawk until he is absolutely sure that the pawn loan he gave, wont come back. Most places give 30 days. He will do years and years.. For some people. As for the other comments, How does someone like him stay in business. Well I am 42 yrs old currently, I know George has been in that same spot for 30 yrs now at least. I meet him when I was 12. He was rude and would not respond to you fast enough. He is 80 yrs old. Still working in his golden years and he honestly doesn't have too.. But still does. Now he refused to loan or buy your item. In the pawn shop business, you loan money you have to loan, and when the money is low, you stop loaning, till your loans are repaid, or until you sell enough to get your bank back up. The second part is hard to do, when you do not sell peoples items sometimes up to 5 yrs after they pawned them. When I was 24 yrs old, I had a hard week, and I pawned my tv, 30 days past, and I figured it was gone. 2 yrs later, I was in the plaza and he seen me, and asked.. You ever gonna come get your tv.. he still had it. An I was shocked, only charged me the original price that I had to pay at the 30 day mark. I may be different price wise to pick up as I have already said, I have known this man since I was a kid.. But it breaks my heart to see so many negative remarks on here. About a man that has a heart of gold. An to be honest, When I post this, we are in the middle of the covid19 outbreak.. An this man still comes to work.. and risk his life. As he is in the highest at risk percent. So people having hard times have a place to turn. Next time, dont think about yourself so much.. Think about both of you.. he may not have the money to help, or honestly, not willing to loan or buy. He may be a bit short at times.. He is over 80 yrs old. His store is cluttered. Yep, he again is over 80 yrs old, and is not a young buck."
"Place is about the size of a storage unit. It's about as organized as one too. I went in for a laptop but he said he didnt have one. I asked about the one buried under a bunch of other stuff and a good 1/4 inch of dust and he said it's not ready yet. Looked like it hasnt been ready for 7 years. The guy was really polite but wow what a mess that place is. You can barely walk 5 feet in and that's the end of your travel."
"This guy George is a red faced douchebag. He is a hoarder. Knows nothing about the junk piled up in the room. What a complete disaster. AVOID. Pure disappointment. What an A-Hole. Julie's review below is spot on!"
"The man my wife does business with is called, "DEUCE", he is a fair, caring man who (unlike some in the exchange business) treats people like human beings and not dollar signs. He gives a fair price for goods. Great place to go when you need cash and like to be treated with dignity and respect."
