"I was an employee of Allen Jewelry Company-Eddy St-Providence, RI.. for many yrs. They treated their employees very well. We worked making epoxy creations on jewelry pieces, names like Sarah Coventry, Monet and Trifari along with many others, looking over archives through the internet has brought back many memories of friends, family members that also worked in the industry. This was the highlight of the jewelry industry & being in RI, the capital of the jewelry industry. I have moved from my beloved state of RI to the State of Maine, where I learned the trade of beading, keeping with my roots of jewelry I became a beader of native American jewelry design & skill. I know jewelry is in my genes as I have always been drawn to the creative design and manufacturing of the craft, but also now so many yrs after the start of it all, I'm still drawn to the creativness to the trade, I am what they would call true to the calling, my father and sister were both in this industry as well as myself, I believe this is fate drawn, in the blood line, no avoiding it in my life time, and I wouldn't have changed a thing, loved it then, and love it now, I only hope the inheritance continues on through my bloodline."
