"I would not recommend this place, unfortunately. I visited the store twice to sell my jewelry. A very nice man helped me the first and second time and gave me an estimate. However, when I returned the second time, the same piece of jewelry was valued at $1000 less. I still accepted the offer to sell the piece, but I am not sure if the way they handle business is intended to intimidate people or if it is just how they treat minorities from other places. During the transaction, I gave my ID to the lady who was writing me a check. Despite this, she also asked my mother for her ID. Then, she suddenly told me she needed to report the piece to the police for 30 days. She did not thank me for shopping with them or ask how I was doing that is all she was telling me. Then, when I asked her how I would know where the piece came from since it was a gift, she said, "Well, then the authorities will deal with you." I shared this information with my mother, who did not speak English, and my colleagues, who met up with me for lunch. They all felt that she was discriminating against me. I decided to take my business elsewhere and even asked other stores if this was how they treated customers in Boston. I have never experienced such treatment in high-end jewelry stores. I will not return to this store, nor will my colleagues."

"I thought the oldest, most established jewelry store in town would be stuffy, overpriced, and out of reach—but I am glad to be wrong! As someone who doesn’t typically feel at home in jewelry stores, I felt comfortable and welcomed here. They have an amazing range of styles and prices, with welcoming staff. My budget was more on the “budget” side of the spectrum, and I was amazed at all the choices I had. They resized the ring and recreated the setting and connected the engagement, wedding and anniversary rings together with a new diamond and it’s beautiful and didn’t cost a fortune!
