"This is the most magical place- Jenn and Zoe are extraordinary teachers! Our child is thriving and absolutely loves going to school here"
"We adore Community Preschool and cannot recommend it highly enough. The teachers are wonderful - it's very clear that they are passionate about what they do. It’s great to be able to drop my daughter off in the morning knowing that she’ll be spending the day with people who are excited to help her learn (and play!). The space itself is really warm and bright and loaded with great places to explore. Each morning when we arrive there are several different activities set up for the kids to play with – hunting for “treasures” at the sand table, making planets with astronauts at a molding clay station, making sun paintings at the art table, fishing for letters at the water table. The activities change every day so there’s always something new to look forward to. The teachers are right at the table with the kids playing and creating. Every few weeks they work on a new "theme" for their loft that the kids help develop. It's currently a campsite, complete with a stream, hiking trail maps, backpacks, a campfire, and bears...all created by the kids. It's awesome. When they're not "inside camping" they spend a lot of time outside, which was important to us. Because of where the school is located in Union Square, they have access to some really great outdoor areas nearby – both playgrounds and places to explore – and they really take advantage of that. Community Preschool is a true gem. We feel so lucky to have found this school."
"This preschool is amazing!!! We first fell in love with Community Preschool in Union Square and its teachers/owners the year before our daughter went there. We would see them at our local playground a few times per week and watch how caring, attentive and playfully engaging they were with the children. They built up a relationship with our daughter during these brief interactions and she could not wait to start school (her very first school experience) at age 3.5. Our daughter thrived in this preschool in terms of confidence, social skills and a variety of other preschool activities like art, pretend-play and story-telling! The teachers are loving, energetic, creative, patient, organized and incredibly thoughtful when it comes to the daily student-driven themed activities. Our daughter absolutely adores them and talks about them constantly. The teachers have extensive experience in early education and child development and they truly get to know and appreciate each child's strengths, needs and quirks . They are communicative with families and focus on building the school - home connection. Community Preschool is always clean and welcoming with student art-work and projects hanging for all to see. Lastly, our daughter has food allergies and they took this along with all potential safety issues very seriously. We can't say enough good things about Community Preschool. Our daughter will be returning for a second year!"
"Community Preschool was the perfect place for my daughter! She began attending when she was three and has grown in so many ways thanks to her dedicated teachers! She now loves all things visual art as the curriculum includes new and creative, hands-on projects daily!! I also want to mention how clean the teachers keep the school-my daughter and the other children very rarely got sick. I would highly suggest visiting the school yourself just to see how awesome it is! My daughter never once said that she didn't want to go to school as she looked forward to seeing her friends and teachers daily. The teachers are highly experienced and just amazing. I appreciated their care for my daughter this past year as well as the amazing life lessons she learned about playing and experiencing life in a group."
"I cannot say enough great things about this school. We chose the school after a visit and based on good old gut instinct about the space and the teachers, who are also the owners. My twins started there when they were 3, and just turned 4. They had a wonderful year and loved their teachers and the friends that they made. The teachers were patient whenever the girls went through any "challenges", including potty training, and worked with us to develop strategies for consistency at home and at school. We love this school and would highly recommend."
