"I bought a used trailer from Jay and used the service department to transfer my boat and fit it to the trailer. They are different companies. They are both very pricey. I also paid a disposal fee for my old trailer even though they weren't going to dispose of it. I called them out on it and I was told they were just trying to have me do them a favor. Why should I do favors when I'm paying top dollar? They didn't do the work when they said they would either. I should have listened to the other bad reviews online. BEWARE AND BE WARNED."
"Cape Cod Truck has been a real pleasure to deal with for multiple services on several vehicles, trucks, trailers and RV services. The staff has always been courteous and professional, they have been accurate with estimates and on schedule fulfilling delivery on their work. I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of the services they provide."
"Awful experience. I would rate zero stars if I could. We brought our dual axle boat trailer in for repair. These guys did their "thorough" inspection and they completely missed the mark on a blatant exploded hub on the front axle (it exploded on our way over to dropping the trailer off to them). After their inspection they came up with $3400 of repair work (lights, replace REAR axle hubs, replace wooden bunks, some welding work, new brakes and new leaf springs). Nothing about the front axle or front hubs. We agreed to have them repair the one exploded hub so we could drive it off the lot and they repaired the wrong one. Shame on us for not driving down there and pointing this out. The one hub still cost us over $300. Obviously we couldn't trust these guys so we cut our losses and decided to look elsewhere. We took our chances and carefully drove it off the lot and just as we were pulling into our home, the hub that they missed had completely separated. Please avoid these guys at all costs. This will be expensive for you and they are not competent enough to keep you safe."
"Delivered a trailer in need to get 2 pieces of reinforcing welded onto it, a new tongue, and a replacement to the electrical connection. Met really nice guy - Jay Horton. Dropped the trailer on Friday May 31. Explained absolutely required in order to take a Hobie Cat on the road on Saturday June 8th, . Discussed in detail what was needed, and the fact that a replacement would be $1500 - so worth it to invest in the quoted $400 in repairs. Jay Horton - Sales Manager and "the trailer guy" absolutely promised completion for Friday 7th June. On Friday I called to confirm pickup time. 3 messages later Jay called back. Told me his guy had just now looked at it - they hadn't started - and now didn't want to do the work. Completely reversed earlier conversation. Talked about how hard it would be. Said it wasn't worth it. I reminded him we had had the conversation - it didn't need it to last forever - just this one last trip - and asked them to get on it ASAP. He then again agreed to do so. When I reminded him I needed it for my trip tomorrow, he said "I can't do it by then. I have other stuff I have to do" I asked why he hadn't delivered as promised, or at least called to tell me that 5 days earlier, he replied "I'm not going to be guilted in to this - come and get your trailer" - and literally hung up. I'm now left with a boat I can't move - and no way to get the trailer repaired anywhere else in time. This individual didn't apologize - no rationale for not calling earlier - and no consideration for the customer or the problem he had just caused. He just hung up. Thanks Jay! Worst service EVER"
"I had had a terrible experience with a tow company in Cape Cod/Mashpee area. After getting my truck released from a towing company two weeks later, I still needed to get a fuel tank repair done on location as my Semi truck was undrivable. The first repair company went out of business 2 days after agreeing to come perform repair. The second repair company was a no-show. Then I contacted Cape Cod Truck at 5pm! They scheduled a road-call for 7:45am the next morning. The Road Call Tech (Danny!) Met and picked me up at a bus stop on his way to location! They by-passed my busted tank in 30 minutes, re-charged/jumped me off in about 30 minutes, followed me to get fuel, and escorted me back to double check repair of fuel tank hole as well!!! Then Danny also checked the codes on my truck and advised me with solid tech advise...i rolled out! Then the next day (while three states away), I GET A FOLLOW-UP CALL FROM DANNY TO CHECK ON MY TRUCK AND MYSELF! WHAT?!?!? HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?! ... My service tech. DANNY "nailed it" in a world where good customer service and professionalism has all but disappeared!!! Solid Company, Prompt, Courteous, Knowledgable and Prepared Technician, Affordable and Reasonable in an area where price-gouging is a real problem... Thank You!!!...and to anyone needing a Road call service on a Big Truck... SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEADACHE AND TIME! CALL "CAPE COD TRUCK REPAIR" FIRST!!!"
