"Popped over here on a work trip and ate at the bar. The staff seemed a little flustered as there was a larger than expected holiday party that they weren't prepared for. Service was a little slow but not unbearable. The restaurant was decorated nicely for the holidays and not overdone. You could tell that this was a local place for some folks and a place to come for out of towners as well. The chowder was tasty but nothing amazing. Warmed me up which is really all I wanted. The meatball sub was also pretty tasty, not the best I've ever had but definitely not the worst. The truffle fries were the highlight and I definitely recommend upgrading to those - worth the extra buck or two. Horseshoe Pub was nice and you won't be disappointed, but you also won't be blown away."

"Good food in a relaxed old pub setting. The service was friendly and attentive and the food is your classic comfort food. They have a large selection of beers on tap as well. A good place to go with friends and family."

"The lobster roll special is spectacular but it can be better. I went 3 weeks in a row and 2 of the weeks had shell in the lobster which is a big turn off. The wait staff greet you quickly but then it goes down hill from there. We waited quite a while to get our check at the end of the meal. We tried a few appetizers...calamari..it was very good. The Reuben egg roll was very good. We don't recommend the homemade potato chips...they come out cold in a paper bag and are stale. We still give them a thumbs up though."
