"From the moment Kristen (Kristin?) answered the phone with the friendliness generally reserved for grandmothers who bake fresh cookies just because you showed up, to Alex's knowledge and general helpfulness that seems to be the hallmark of epic aircooled VW gurus (he works on other things too, don't worry), we (Pearl [69 VW bus] and I) had one of the best repair experiences we've ever had! Alex efficiently ran through the possible causes of my shuddering misfire, diagnosed, and repaired like a wizard, all the while allowing me to watch and learn, as we'll be on a year+ road trip and don't want to be stranded. I can't recommend them both enough, and if you're in the area, need auto repair, pick them up a coffee (they both earn it 1000x over) and watch Alex's magic.
