"Could not be more pleased nor more grateful to Steve for his work today in fixing a 27 year old hydro heating system that no other plumber would touch. Called him yesterday and he came by this morning as promised and quickly figured out the problem. Never complained as I led him down into a crawlspace that pretty much required crawling to the heating system. He works for time and materials, which results in the lowest cost and best value for customers. Because of the tremendous liability involved, he will not repair old or damaged equipment that cannot be fixed. He generally avoids quotes because he has to give them for worst-case scenarios in order to protect his business. So, because of that, the quotes he does give, end up costing his customers more than simple time-and-materials billing would.
