Reviews of Kirby Vacuum Bags and Service
"I have a chance to let Micah from DC distributor in my house. He was polite and did a great job. Compare to that girl name's Dawn that I let her in two summers ago. She was very rude, pushy, and disrespectful. She left all the dirty papers in my house. I almost call police on her to force her to leave because she didn't plan to go if I didn't buy her product. Good job, Micah!"
"If I could give zero stars I would. Please even in your dreams do not buy this piece of rubbish. These scammers came and convinced my mom with a fake demo and made her get their machines. I got home and have tried using it to no avail. It is a total waste of your money. And when I try to return it 20 days after they refuse to take the machine back saying they only have a 3 day cancellation policy. Never buy from them . Thieves ."
"Wish I could give zero stars. This week I had some of your sales team (Mica, Gabby, and a new kid) request to allow their new kid do a demo for me. Making me think it was going to be super quick to do and they’d be in and out, and no pressure to buy anything cause really the kid just needs to do 3 demos a day for his training, and he’s paid hourly. But then they basically dropped the kid off at my house…. He’s looking to vacuum my couch, which is a 7piece sectional, so I’m thinking he is only looking to do a corner to show me the product and be on his way as I was up front that we were not buying anything today. I have a 3yr old, and two dogs, so having someone we don’t know in our home for more than 30mins is a lot. He was here for like 3hrs, it got to the point where I had to start pushing them out but they dropped him off here… I had to start getting ready for work, and my child wanted to just play and was getting fussy still having a stranger in our home. He asked me if I knew 5 other people they could go to, and it felt like he wasn’t going to leave unless I provided them. I told him I was not going to list anyone without them knowing first, I don’t even believe in selling things to my friends in general I won’t set them up for a sales pitch. Then he’s trying to sell it to me and I said before you finish the couch I’m going to be honest, again I don’t plan to buy, you don’t need to finish… I thought this was a simple demo… He says no pressure he gets paid by the hour so no big deal. And I was like ok…. But I do need to be getting ready for work soon and my daughter is looking to nap. then his sales ppl come back, and they try to go over the info the kid already did, and the kid is telling them I’m not interested, and trying to help me out. And they were like well what if I could get you the employee discount. And I said I wouldn’t make a big purchase unless my husband was on board. Specially before the holidays. Then mid sentence, Mica takes off and can’t be found. He ran upstairs to my bedroom…. Like as if he lived here, or had been a long family friend… my own parents don’t even do that. No warning of where they were going, and I had to get Sabrina, my 3yr old and the dogs cause they can’t be left alone for long as she’s a puppy that will chew on everything and go find them…. So he continued a demo on my bed with the thing and I again said no. Then he leaves no warning and takes off leaving his manager and the kid…. And then they try telling me I should just buy it and tell my husband later. I said that was a recipe for divorce. And they said he won’t be mad at you that long do you really think? And I was like it doesn’t matter, we have no secrets and tell each other everything and we don’t make big purchases without warning. I couldn’t get them to go…. So my husband came down and firmly sent them on their way. It felt like they were taking advantage of me trying to keep the dogs under control and keeping my child from having a meltdown that they’re in our house still… Like I thought I was doing them a favor by letting him do a simple demo and then it was that. Oh and then they tried pressuring me to give them 5 names of friends that they could go to, to give them demos. Then he forgot his phone. And when we went to go give it to them we saw they were in an unmarked white van. This made me feel like the whole thing was a scam. But in all honesty, is this common sales technique you train your sales people to do? Drop their training kids off for 3hrs, then come back and take over the house for an additional 45mins while people just want you to go? Is it common for you to train them to run around your house and invade personal space and privacy???? If I were going to buy the product, I wouldn’t buy it from this behavior alone. Even if I wanted it. Sales manager that was here: Gabby Sales person: Mica I don’t remember the kids name but I know he was 21. (I sent an email to the actual distributor, and they plan to reach out and investigate this approach because it’s a major red flag.)"
"The staff came to do a free cleaning and the cleaning itself went wonderfully! I was impressed with what the machine picked up. Jeremy was so kind and nice and friendly and worked fast, and he really deserves all the praise. My only issue is that the supervisor he was under left him at my home for too long, and given the cold, if I had had to leave it would have been awful! Very dangerous business practice for your staff! I hope he is better looked after and cared for as an employee moving forward! As the customer, if I had to leave, who knows how this could have gone for the employee, and he’s a valuable asset to your company! Do better! Take care of your hard working employees!"
"June 16,2023 A woman came to my door promoting her kirby steam cleaner and pushed or should i say practically begged me to steam clean my carpet, They do one whole room for free,so i said ok,long story short, carpet never got steam cleaned, just a 5x7 throw carpet over the main carpet got mostly cleaned except for where the ottoman sat,and i told the kid he could throw it on the couch to steam that area but didn't,The kid wasted hours of my time just showing me how the vacuum/steam cleaner picks up dirt because they use these disk to just demonstrate how good the machine lifts dirt, all well and good but the dummy never steam cleaned my carpet and the woman that kept coming back and fourth to check on him didn't make sure my carpet got steam cleaned like she said, the last time she came in she took over the steam cleaner after i said what areas needed to be steam cleaned and just went over one small area the kid already did then started taking the machine apart on my carpet making it more dirty, they left a mess in my sink, dirty water near my clean dishes on side of sink where i had them drying and the woman said she would be back that monday to steam clean the carpet because the kid messed up and she was going to be in the area anyways, I knew she was lieing specially after i saw the mess she left in my sink and she used up my napkins to wipe down her kirby steam cleaner, why wouldn't they have something with them to clean it,so unprofessional and rude to leave a mess after wasting hours of my time and not doing what was promised, i will never buy from kirby now because of this,The woman boss with the kid haunts you to buy her product but doesn't carry through in making sure you get your one free room steam clean, She puts on a good act but full of you know what and if they sell 15 kirby machines they get a prize to Aruba or a yeti cooler which she wants,Hope someone else wins it. I see their reviews are bad and once they get your money it's scr-w you. buyers beware. Not even worth a one star."
