"After a squirrel traversed down our chimney two weeks ago, I called Advance Chimney for an estimate to replace the chimney cap and install a damper that had been removed prior to our purchasing our home many years ago in favor of a wood stove. We removed the wood stove shortly after buying our house and never installed a damper. Bill and Jim came out and gave us aa great price to do the entire job including pointing the inside of the fireplace which had a good amount of the cement deteriorating. To our surprise, they started work right away after we agreed on the extremely reasonable price. The job was finished within an hour and a half with both gentlemen cleaning as they went. "I needed a relatively small and specific job done that other fireplace companies didn’t want to take on since it didn’t involve buying a fireplace or other services from them. I found Advance Chimney, and they guided me through providing some photos which allowed them to give a remote estimate. They arrived promptly after and got the job done. They encountered an issue with how the original chimney had been constructed and communicated it with me even after hours so there wouldn’t be a hold up. "This company sent two techs out to do an inspection/chimney cleaning. As soon as they entered my house they smelt oil. I do have an oil tank but have never used that to heat the house so it was buried under storage bins. Well we uncovered a small leak at the bottom of the tank. These guys not only did an excellent job sweeping the chimney but immediately discovered a dangerous situation that my wife and I had no clue about.
