"This was once the property of Reverend and Judge John Hale of Old Salem(Beverly). I was there last Saturday to visit ancestral farmhouse. The historical society wanted me to pay to tour the house and additional $25 to stay and watch a play of the "Crucible". Of course I walked to the beach to cool off on an 80* day."
"One of my favorite morning walks."
"A great small park on the water with a big feel thanks to a sandy beach, walkways, playground, and grassy picnic space. There's a small parking lot but plenty of street parking."
"This place is awesome for kids all ages, Park is nice with lots of activities, the beach is huge and there's walking paths for whatever you are into. The only reason It's not 5 star is there is not a trash can in sight and bathrooms closed most of the time. So this leads to finding trash on the beach albeit small amounts of trash its still could be easily fixed with a few trash cans here and there."
"I love that it’s free parking and my kids can use the park and the beach all at once. I hate that the bathrooms close so early but I’m learning everything up here closes early unless it involves alcohol. The beach is kept pretty clean and low tide is our favorite to visit. My nonverbal daughter has more freedom to explore the waters at low tide since it stays very shallow. The kids love exploring the hermit crabs. They even caught an eel one visit."
