Reviews of Upside Down Escape Games
"We had a great time! My husband had been to an escape room before, but it was my son’s (age 10) and my first time, so I don't have a frame of reference, but we did the Gingerbread room and had a blast. The person running the show was knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely go back!"
"We had a great time! Did gingerbread house with a 9 year old. Owners were very pleasant and helpful. We are definitely going back to do other rooms. I can see how these rooms can be addicting. Very entertaining. Thanks for the fun!"
"We had such a great time!! Our family of 6 (all adults) went to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and it was so much fun. The puzzles are well thought out, it’s challenging and cleverly presented. It was a really enjoyable activity that I’d highly recommend!"
"We happened to discover this amazing place while in Mashpee Commons with some friends at the tail-end of the summer. Hidden on the corner of a block at the edge of the Commons, finding it is like finding clues in one of the rooms. Make sure to book in advance on their website, as it makes the logistics much easier. On Saturday, half of our group did the pirate room and the other half did the gingerbread room. Both rooms were intricately designed and decorated, and enjoyably challenging. I had never gone to an escape room before, and the feeling of solving a complex puzzle was wonderful. It revived the child in me, and in no time I was jumping from item to item trying to piece it all together. My group was exceptionally efficient and collaborative, finishing the pirate room with 20 minutes to spare. The other group had a few setbacks, so to speak; they just scraped by with around 8 minutes before time was up. Regardless, the escape room experience took over all conversations that night, and there was a unanimous desire to come again on Monday. On Monday, we took on the most challenging room Upside Down Escape Games had to offer: Nocturnal Keep. Medieval-themed, the room was full of knights, dragons, and magic. This was indeed far more challenging than the other two rooms, but it was definitely worth it! Intricate and mysterious, it had such a diversity of puzzles. Halfway in, I forgot I was in Cape Cod, completely believing I was in a dungeon of the Middle Ages. I highly recommend this room to the most ambitious puzzle solvers. Additionally, the staff were amazing and clearly passionate about their escape games. They were extremely polite and even showed us the tech room where all the electronics to run the room were housed. As a techie guy, that was my favorite part! We all loved the experience. Escape room enthusiasts and puzzle solvers, this is the place for you! The wizard in the mirror is very handsome by the way."
"Compared to other rooms in RI/MA, I would have to say these rooms were okay. My husband and I (who have done over 250 escape rooms together) got through the Baggage room and the 80s room with only two hints between the two rooms. The Baggage room we escaped with 18 minutes left using no hints. Lots of standard locks, a few magnetic puzzles. I think the puzzles were hard enough to make us really think but also easy enough that families and first timers would enjoy. There was also a good variety. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it, but I also wouldn't mind coming back to complete their other rooms. Thanks to the staff! They were great."
