Reviews of PHD Plumbing & HVAC
"I have never written a review of a company before, but I feel it necessary to prevent any others from going through what we did. In previous comments you will see PHD tries to gaslight and add misinformation that is incorrect. Either the owners are getting bad information from their field team or they are also happy to suggest incorrect work and not stand buy their services post sale. Below you will find a recap of our experience with PHD. You will also find an outline of factually incorrect information PHD continues to push. We have 2 sumps, one of which was old and most likley burnt out. After the failure we got water in our basement. We called PHD to come and replace the main pump. Should have been an easy fix but the person from PHD advised that his house was "just like ours" and that if we did a french drain around our house it would allevaite pressure on our pumps and help overall but because it was cold we should get to work soon so that the ground does not get too hard. PHD was all too happy to come quickly out and install their drain, but we had to continually call them to come back replace the pump that had burnt out in the first place. We should have just replaced the burnt out pump, and not trusted the man from PHD. Since installing their drain, we have had issues with water we never had before. During the sales process they said they would come out any time to help clear things up if they ever got blocked up or inspect things if anything wasnt working as expected. To get them to come out, I had to call over and over again. The man who sold us the drain called from a restricted number so I could not call back one time and told the front office he had tried me over and over. After continually calling the front office we were finally able to get them to come out and all they did was take a picture of were the drains empty water to and said, yep theres water in it so they are working but that they would go back to the office and come up with some ideas of what to do. Instead of coming back with ideas of what to do, PHD called to say their drain is working and a variety of other issues are probably our problem and that we are on our own. They were all too happy to say the drain was the answer when they sold it to us and never mentioned checking anything else. Misinformaiton/Lies in previous comment from PHD: -We never mentioned any issues with garage or water washing down our driveway. We had a sump burn out that lead to water in our basement. PHD is embellishing issues to make it seem like there is nothing their work could have done. -PHD continually says we have 4 sumps to again embellish issues to make it seem like there is nothing their work could have done. We have 2 pumps and 2 that back them up if power is lost. -PHD claims to not be foundation experts but then said that must be the cause as to why their drain isnt working. Convenient to be experts on that post sale. Never mentioned exploring other things besides a drain when that main pump burnt out. -A gutter over a small patio roof is not causing issues of this degree, PHD is trying to just blame anything else when convenient. In summary I would not reccomend this company for any major work. They are either incompetent, intentionally trying to do expensive work, and unwilling to stand by their work post sale. Again, I have never wrote a poor review of a company in my life. I truly hope PHD ownership is just getting bad information from their field team. Edit to answer below comment - Robby, we never mentioned anything about water coming at or into our garage. Entirely made up which is concerning. We also stated they only time water came in the basement was when the pump burnt out. Your team is providing you incorrect information to justify why they sold us an uneeded drain. Its sad that I am realzing your field team came back out not to try and help us, but to try and find every reason possible but the drain as cause. When sold to us, this was "just like the reps house" and needed drain."
"Our experience with PDH is a reminder to do our homework before agreeing to a service. We found them online and were impressed with the reviews and the man who came to check out the house was really friendly and seemed trust worthy so we did not hesitate to follow his recommendation to get a $20k French drain installed by them. 9 months later and our basement consistently has more water than ever before. They did come out to see what was wrong and gave us a few possible reasons why it’s not holding up without going into detail I don’t buy it. Will not be recommending them to anyone."
"I've been a loyal customer since 2016 for all our plumbing and HVAC needs. PHD lives up to its name in being smart and wise in the prompt, excellent service they provide, the advice they give, and their consideration of their customers!"
"Great company to work with. Used them last year when my water softener went bad, so called this time when my water heater went out. Very professional, knowledgeable and just overall terrific service. Strongly recommend these folks for all your plumbing needs!"
"I cannot say enough good things about this company. They have done plumbing work in our bathroom, kitchen, serviced the hot water heater, and maintained our sump pumps. Tina is so friendly and accomodating, and will pull miracles off in emergencies to make sure she can get one of their extremely talented service techs out to you. Their work is first class, their prices very fair, and their reliability is beyond belief. I won't do business with anyone but PHD!"
