"We were visiting from out of state and picked up a screw in a tire. Safe Way was recommended by the owners of our B&B. I went over Friday morning, hoping they could fit me in. They were so kind and took the car in right away. The tire couldn’t be patched, but they got me a slightly used tire and I was on my way by 9:30! The charge was more than reasonable and we had fun talking with the owner while we waited! What a surprisingly pleasant way to end vacation - thank you!"
"Its always a joy working with safe way, from our cars to trucks and even our motorcycles safe way has been able to assist our family in our times of need. Recently my uncle was in need of a state inspection, we were right at or past our initial fail. safe way answered the call with no hesitation and got us in without having us schedule another day, and time. They were able to get us in between appointments, and get us the sticker! We’ve worked with many of their employees across town needs, inspections or maintenance. they have always been professional, fair priced, and honest. I would recommend safe way to anyone asking! It’s a great family owned car lot, rental lot, and service center, and a true Bristolian family!! Keep your cash in the community, and support local business like Safe way!"
"I had a 9AM appt w/Safeway for tire rotation & alignment today & was told that it would take 3 hrs. I never received a call, so I call them at 12:40 PM and the explanation was that when the guys got back from lunch they’d finish the alignment. I don’t believe it takes all morning and then some to do a tire rotation and alignment so I walked from my home to Safeway to pick up my car. Upon arrival I was casually told that I was sent a text.but now it’s 1:45PM so I paid the bill, and I said I would not come back again. Whoever this guy was at the desk asked me who I normally go to for service and I said Herb Chambers. He asked why I didn’t go to Herb Chambers, which is really none of his business. I said that the price was less but it was really a matter of convenience for me. He tried to make a point by arguing with me and telling me that this is 2023 and it’s Friday. He’s had more customers today than just me. This man is bold and insulting, I asked him if he had reset the car so that the air pressure light wouldn’t come on. He told me that if the light comes on. I can go back to Herb Chambers and have them reset it. I told him Safeway would reset it and he said that I could call and make an appointment for that !! This guy was rude and sarcastic. I told him at least Herb Chambers treats me as an important customer. I will never go back to Safeway in Bristol again ! Very unprofessional and unbusinesslike !!! I will be sure to tell the person that referred me to Safeway of my experience today !!! It is my intention to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This kind of behavior should never be tolerated by the consumer."
"I’ve gone to Safe Way in the past for an inspection and had a great experience. But what I love is that they’re partnered with AAA for roadside assistance. I had a nail in my tire this morning and Chad showed up and had the spare on within less than 30 minutes of sending in the claim! I work in home care and rely heavily on my car. I only had to reschedule one of my patients thanks to the speedy service!!"
"Due to a car accident I recently found myself without a vehicle. While I car shopped I still needed transportation for work. They made the rental process so simple. The staff was helpful and friendly. They were flexible as I needed to extend the rental a few times. If I am ever in need of a rental to get to and from work again I would not look anywhere else. All the stress of the accident, lawyers, insurance company, physical therapy etc...it was nice to have a carefree simple solution to my transportation needs without disrupting my employment. It was a nice comfy ride with great safety features."
