"I had a really bad experience here. I brought my Jeep in for work on the engine and differential. They did do the engine work and then did about $600 of unauthorized brake work that Scotty tried to convince me I needed instead of replacing the differential. They did not tell me that I would still need to replace the differential until AFTER they swiped my credit card for over a grand. When I drove away, I discovered my sound system was not working -- specifically the amp and back speakers were no longer working. I called to let them know, and Scotty said my battery had died while they had it, but did not say why or how. I brought it back, and he spent an hour trying to fix it but could not. He then kept my Jeep for two more days as he tried to fix the issue. The sound system works now, but the electrical is messed up and has blown the two phones that I plugged in to the USB adapter in the cigarette lighter port, which used to work just fine before I brought my Jeep to Tiverton Auto Body. When I called and spoke to his secretary, Fran, she had a terrible attitude and insisted no customers had ever complained before (which seemed unlikely given other reviews here, irrelevant to the current situation, and also seemed to imply I shouldn't complain about the damage done to my Jeep in their possession since I was bringing it in for issues anyway). I disputed the charge with my bank and reported Tiverton Auto Body to the RI AGs office for their violation of RI law by failing to get my authorization before replacing any brake parts. In the end, I brought it in for engine and differential issues and left with electrical issues, differential issues, shifting issues, phone issues, and squeaky *new* brakes."
