Den Rock Park

"Really loved this place. Went for a sunset walk during the winter, and it was a great one. Very easy hike, nice views, and honestly a great outdoorsy thing to do, even during the brutal winter. Best thing I loved about the place was that it free of cost and not limited to just residents of Lawrence! PS: parking space is available at the trailhead. Trailhead is also opposite to a plaza with food places, in case you're snacky after the hike."

"Visited for the first time today. What a lovely place. There are different trails, very well marked. Clean and easy to follow. Sadly, because of the recent storm, there are tons of fallen trees blocking the trails however, i think it makes it more interesting. It was nice, serene and quiet. All i could hear were the birds. It was a good hike! Definitely recommend!."

"Right off a busy road with parking lot. The signs says there may be some climbing there, but i didn't explore, the trail was too rocky for my open toe sandals."

"A really cool place to walk, with lots of different trails to choose from - whether you prefer something more challenging or something more family friendly. And there's a big rock at the top of the hill called Den Rock! Definitely worth the climb for the views."
