"I originally gave this 2 stars, and later updated to 3 stars (see additional information at bottom of review), after having a second call with the owner, Ian. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The DID do good work (and we've hired them before for other projects). However, the all-in cost to install the Moen Flo in Lexington MA was $2,385 (including the parts) whereas we had the exact same installation done in Wolfeboro NH for $943 (including the same parts). The extra $1,442 charged by Chase Plumbing was attributed to 'cost differences of labor' between the two locations -- sorry, but that's crazy. We had a master plumber complete the install in Wolfeboro and an apprentice plumber do the work in Lexington (under the review of a Master Plumber, who I am confident did good work). So... I'm sure Chase does quality plumbing; I'm also confident that you're overpaying. Buyer beware. And I spoke to the owner about the cost differential, and he quickly got angry and it went nowhere. I get that he has a business to run and that he can charge what he wants -- I respect that. Just be aware that you should get some competitive quotes. EDIT TO REVIEW (AFTER 2ND CALL WITH THE OWNER) -- I modified the review to 3 stars after discussing with Ian. He wanted me to point out that I was quoted $2,385 over the phone before scheduling the project, and that's true -- what's also true is that I told the woman on the phone at that time that it seemed high, but how could I know? But I said that if they're only there for 60-90 minutes I'd be upset and would call back. And that's what happened. But I STILL didn't call back right away, because I'm not a plumber! It wasn't until I had the exact same job completed for $1,442 less (in NH, to be fair -- I'm sure there are some cost differences between locations) that I felt like I was overcharged. It's then that I called Chase back and ended up having these two discussions. So... end of day... quality work... just expect to pay quite a bit for it. So, get competitive quotes -- who knows, maybe all plumbers in Lexington are that expensive. Best of luck."

"It was a pleasure doing business with this company, from initial contact, when Ian came a 2nd time to explain the work prior to the contract being signed, to final installation of the new boiler system. This was a significant job, including the installation of a new heating zone in the basement family room as well as installation of a high efficiency boiler and hot water tank. The job was completed according to the schedule in the midst of a heat wave, and the quality of the work exceeded expectations. Tom and Mike remaimed pleasant throughout, even when answering my 100th question. I wish all my home improvement projects went this well."
