Reviews of Andy Vosburgh Auto Repair
"Always good to me when I had the car in for oil change and inspections. Sad to hear this place is closing. Thanks for everything."
"Quick and cost effective shop. Brought my cars here for small jobs and oil changes and almost always they're done same day. The place smells like motor oil and cigarettes (just like your uncle's garage) which, to me, is the smell of someone who knows how to repair cars."
"Brought my car to have it looked at after hitting a racoon. I thought there might be some damage as there were plastic pieces hanging down and my car was jerking when driving. Mind you my car was running perfectly before I hit the racoon. They told me I had a leak in my transmission line. They asked me if I wanted it fixed and of course I said yes thinking this was going to fix the problem. They did not tell me it wouldnt. While they were getting ready to replace the transmission line they showed it to me. I saw a 3 inch slit in the line and asked was that caused by the accident and was told it was normal wear and tear. The line looked perfect except for the slit. No corrosion. As they were fixing my car they stated they could not check my transmission fluid cause they did not know how because there was no dipstick and I should bring it to a nissan dealer. I assumed of course that I would just have to get my fluid checked and would be fine. They are the mechanics right? Again they did not lead my to believe any different. A couple hundred dollars later my car still did not work. Now when I tried to make an insurance claim ( I didnt know hitting a racoon qualified as comprehensive) I cannot get it repaired due to mr vosburg telling my insurance my line was rotted out. These people are liars and only care about taking advantage of people and making money. They also told me all nissan transmissions fail and when I asked him for the part that was replaced he conveniently did not know where it was. Also when I questioned him again if he thought the accident did the damage he would not answer the question. Guess what mr vosburgh my year nissan transmission are not the ones that were recalled for failure and stop taking advantage of people and admit the truth. If you want these people to do minor work they may be ok but dont trust them to do the right thing when they dont even know how to check transmission fluid. Stop taking advantage of people. Especially seniors. You are a disgrace to mechanics everywhere. Worst experience and most distrustful people ever. Go back to mechanic school and get the training on nissans that you obviously need. Call me if you want to make this right."
"Andy is a great guy, and a fantastic mechanic. He's honest and doesn't overcharge."
"The tow truck driver did a great job, but when it came time to pay the bill, the owner showed up and refused to take any form of credit card and demanded cash. He stated that they don’t use credit cards and they were cash base business only when towing. When I asked if I could go back to there shop to run the credit card, the guy told me to back the F up and if I don’t pay cash they’re taking my truck. Before they hooked up, they didn’t mention they were cash only business. I would highly recommend not dealing with this company. It seems like a racket to me. I’d also like to add that once you pay them cash they refuse to give you a receipt."
