"Unfortunately wrecked my laptop. I have a MacBook Pro they did repairs on for screen replacement. They returned it with missing screws to the outside, because they lost them during repair. I looked up the replacement size and replaced them at home. I brought it to Whiz Kid Computers over apple for this because I needed it back ASAP. There is now connection issues with the screen and camera(it returned with camera issues, but I just bought an external camera because I didn’t have time to send it back), so I brought it to apple for the current connection issues. Apple said it’s missing screws and other parts like brackets, and some screws are so stripped they aren’t able to repair it. It’s only a few years old and I believe I paid $1,600 for it at the Apple Store. So yes, they charge a reasonable price for work, however losing screws and stripping screws so it can’t be worked on again is not worth the lower prices. *** I just want to be clear that they are the ONLY people to have opened the laptop since I had purchased it new. They lost screws, which they told us they did, but no biggie we just ordered replacements because I needed it back ASAP. When apple attempted to open it to fix the new issue they IMMEDIATELY told us they are unable to open it fully because someone had stripped the screws putting it back together. Considering the owner told us he lost screws, I don’t appreciate you saying this isn’t true. We were not informed about the missing bracket by whiz kids, and they did not inform us that they stripped screws or offer to fix that."
