"I've never actually been in this store. However ... it has to do with your staff. The man that comes directly to you and takes your donations from you is a very unfriendly, sour person. Not one smile, and ALWAYS looks like you're just bothering him... ... but you aren't allowed to use the bins (apparently) if he is there. He is not careful with donations! In fact, today's donation, he smashed on the ground, and there were dishes in there that were NOW broken. They were nice dishes... Staffing must be hard ... I started dropping off here because he's been here at least 3+ years. Maybe just let people leave their donations without having to deal with this person? Let him sort it in the store, rather than smashing things outside on the ground because he hates his job. As a manager, I know I wouldn't stand for that."
"My daughter loves shopping at Salvation Army. The prices are usually quite reasonable and the staff are mostly helpful. My only complaint is with donations. One of the employees wouldn't take shoes, furniture or any of the hundreds of dvds we tried donating. Would only take the clothes."
"Came in a little late one time last week, on a Friday. The lady said rudely, were closing! I said it'll be a couple minutes... she in turn said that's all you got! Nice. Still got what I wanted. And the two older employees were still rude the whole way until I left. Will come back, but only to find something specific if needed. Will not ask for any help or service, except for checking out. Good Luck."
"Love the Salvation Army cause and i live in town. Felt like I was not wanted while gifting them boxes of clothes and housewares to sell. Knocked on the door as it was in boxes, can't place in bins and can't leave outside bins. Guy come to the door and berates me for not having it in bags. Says he will bring them in. Had a hard time getting the door open with a box in his hands so I grabbed the door to help and he yelled at me "I got it". Came back took the other went in and closed the door. No smile No thanks no have a nice day. Next time I will go to Goodwill. Maybe they will treat me human."
"Great experience! The employee who greeted me was very kind (her name may have been Pam?) the store was clean and organized. I found two really nice linen shirts!"
