"Food was fair but over priced. Comparing with other options in the area, you can get a much better meal at a much better price. One main option was gone but we weren't informed until after we ordered. Service was slow and inattentive for simple things like getting water. Overall a pass."
"Reaching too far. The 3 course winter menu was ok but everything was over complicated when some dishes just need to remain simple. Gorgeous place however. Just need to focus more on simplicity and the star of the dish."
"Staying at the Cape Arundel Resort and enjoyed Ocean last night…all 4 courses, cocktails, and wine were just incredible. Creative and delicious with nice portion sizes as well. My wife and I both agreed this was one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed…not inexpensive, but well worth it."
"The view was very nice. For the price however, I was expecting to be blown away. Unfortunately the food was very bland for the almost $300 bill (meal options and 2 drinks). The bread served at the begining of the meal may have been the best food of the evening, it was delicious! I ordered the clam/lobster chowder (it was very pretty!) but it only had one clam on the plate. It was not a cup or a bowl, it was quite literally served on a plate. Maybe 4 bites max. My main course steak was good, however, I believe it was considered one of the options with an additional cost (to the already $105 option we chose for the night) And at the end of the day it was your average steak. My boyfriend got the fish for his main, it was cooked well but was flavorless. And unfortunately like my chowder, the portion size does not match the price tag. As the night progressed our wait time increased significantly, we were sat at 6 and left at 745pm. The service was friendly, but again, the price paid should have a wow factor, and it was definitely lacking."
"Lovely spot with MAGNIFICENT view overlooking the ocean and the presidential (Bush) house in the distance. We stopped by for "Happy Hour" on the Veranda outside. Very good wine offering at 12$/glass and some of the most affordable fresh Oysters in Kennebunkport! (3$/Oyster). Service was warm and friendly, the Inn felt cozy and luxurious. Happy hour/Apéro time was definitely worth it!"
