Chipotle Mexican Grill 507 Main Street, Saco, ME 04072

"They seem consistently out of crispy tacos and chips. Several staff milling around, but no one acknowledged my presence until the poor kid who seemed to be the only one on the line finished checking out another customer. The line itself was a mess. Finally, a young female staff deigned to put some gloves on to help the next customer, and then she made a big show of reaching over the kid to grab toppings/sauces, all with a very sour, unfriendly countenance. I felt bad for the young server because he seemed new and he was getting no support."

"Been to many Chipotles and Love the burritos. First time to this one and was very disappointed. The chicken was partially burnt black and dry. It ruined the overall taste of the burrito. Lots of nearly empty toppings. No Got home and it was cold. No Carne Asada. No grilled onions and peppers. Runny sour cream. This particular store is a big disappointment."

"When they announced that they were opening a Chipotle in Saco people were so excited! I FINALLY went in today and literally was in shock at the state of the brand new restaurant. The glass sneeze guards covering the food were splattered with cheese and beans, and every inch of the glass was greasy. There was a full dust pan in the middle of the hallway walking in through the back, the AM shift report was just out on the counter, the guacamole was brown, I didn’t see this until after I asked for my order, and unsurprisingly it was also sour. I should mention I arrived at 11:35am to a note printed and taped to the door saying they couldn’t open until 11:30, so this was 5 minutes after opening. There is absolutely no care put into this place at all. It is really sad when you look up and see the new build and can tell that the building has just come up with the state of the ceiling, but everything eye level and down already looks worn down, dirty, and disgusting. The soda cooler on the guest facing side had 4 bottles in it, was almost fully empty, and was filthy with shredded cheese, crumpled tin foil, and crumpled receipts. The girl who made my bowl for me literally did not say 1 single word to me and got my order wrong. I asked for it to be corrected and she put the lid on and threw it down on the counter and walked away. The cashier charged me $17 for a bowl stating that I had double protein which is fully not what I ordered and unfortunately I did not have time to dispute this because I needed to get to an appointment. The cook had his shirt tied up into his apron and his bum was out for all to see, which I understand and would not necessarily judge anyone on an embarrassing mistake or wardrobe malfunction, but it speaks to the absolute lack of care that anyone in that building had. The last thing I would like to bring up, the gentlemen working the line had a rather large open wound on his right arm that was uncovered. I don’t know if they do not have a manager, or if the manager is learning or what but I cannot believe that a franchised business would allow its name to be dragged this hard from a brand new location. I am so disappointed and will actually never return to the Saco location. The heaps of trash including a used homemade bong from a plastic bottle was a welcoming site in the parking lot, I just never imagined that it would have looked safer to consume than the food being served to the public."

"Normally love Chipotle but was shocked at how bad this location was. First and last time I’ll go to this one. Very dirty, overflowing trash both in the kitchen area and dining area. Service was terrible where the girl barely even communicated with the customer just looked for eye cues on what you wanted. Food serving area was filthy and there was chicken in the rice and several items just missing. I could go on but you get the point. We were going to eat in the restaurant but were literally driven out to eat in the car due to there being fruit flies swarming around us as we tried to eat… not even kidding. Other customers were swatting their hands in the air trying to keep them off the food as the ate. Not sure why we risked eating the food at this place, but we were hungry and spent money on the food so we ate it. We all thought it tasted a little off so only had a few bites but luckily none of us felt I’ll or anything after. I get that everyone can have a bad night, and I normally give people the benefit of the doubt, but based on the other reviews here this location has issues. Definitely needs better management, quality control and cleaning protocols. Worst corporate chain food experience I’ve had in a long time if not ever."
